Re: Childcare [This question has been answered on the answer page.] First of all I would like to say hi and congratulations to Donna and Nance for getting such a great project off the ground!

I have a group of 10 to 12 year old children in daycare (in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) who are following your trek and are very interested in hearing anything about childcare in other countries.

Many of the families at our daycare come from all over the world and we are anxious to hear all the stories from the women you will be meeting. Bon voyage!

Re: how are you? I went to Guatemala last weekend with three people from this project. I didn't get their names. We flew from miami to guatemala on Nov. 19 (they missed their flight because they were in Boca) I was going to help them find a way to get to Antigua, but when I got to Guatemala, I had to go right away and could not help them.

I just want to see how everything went in Guatemala, this is the only way I thought I could get in touch. I hope they are ok and that their trip in Guatemala went well.

take care and good luck!

Re: driving cross country I will be driving my leopard painted art car from New Haven, CT to Los Angeles, CA at the end of this month and I would like to know if I could have some feedback or support in this endeavor. I am interested in posting the trip on line so that my friends and family can "travel" with me. Any suggestions as to how I can accomplish this?

Re: Thailand Hi Nance, and Donna too -

I don't think I can read any more of your journal . . . it is making me terribly "homesick,"
having returned home from Southeast Asia just three weeks ago.
Donna - I can see and smell it all again, thanks.
And Nance - the photos are terrific and look
good on the webpage.

Is it terribly hot? Bangkok has been showing 95 degrees (I'm still checking
the SE Asia weather for the connection.)

Be sure an eat some sticky rice - the vendors sell it on the streets in
bamboo sticks. It contains sticky rice, coconut milk and sometimes black
beans. V. good and safe to eat.

I'm staying tuned. Oh, and Nance - Lisa says to write!

Bye,

Sharon

Re: Great women! Hi Donna, Nance

Great journal entries with your trip to Asia. Hope you and Nance are not to worn out - how are the distances? Sounds like most of the Asian cities are really fairly crowded and populated beyond anything you've seen anywhere. Good images of cities and women you are meeting. Stay well.

How are both of you holding out? By this time both of you should be ready
for for some R. Everything sounds quite remarkable - text and photos couldn't
be better. I just returned from by 2 month vacance. See you soon.

Hey gals...where are you? Although the pics from Viet Nam are just wonderful...I check daily to find out where you are and read about your trip...where'd ya go?

I've recommended your site to our Global Geography teacher as a way to bring a new perspective to some of the countries they'll be studying.

Waiting for more here in Nova Scotia!

I'm in Bangkok Thailand right now and I would love to visit the temple in
Pathum Thani which was covered on January 21st Day 2 journal entry where
Dr. Chatsumarn Kabilsingh was intereviewed. I greatly admire your work and
efforts to bring forth international pioneers of the women's movement. I
would really appreciate the name, address and phone number of temple (so
I can get directions)...

I was interested to read about your project, especially as I have just returned from a 4 month trip to South America. The indian women in Peru, Bolivia amd Ecuador were absolutely fascinating. They really embraced their traditional way of life and worked so hard, it was humbling to see.
Good luck!

Re: re: your website

Dear Madam,
I would like to commend you for starting up such a wonderful project. However, I do have a small suggestion to make. While reading some of the journal entries, I did find that some of them contained typos and errors that could easily be edited to provide a smoother reading of the text. I would like to suggest, therefore, that the entries be edited a little more thoroughly before posting them on the site, so that readers are not distracted by small grammatical or typing errors, but are instead able to focus completely on the powerful messages being presented.

Sincerely,
Linda Schneidereit

Hola:

Muchas Gracias.

Re : Hello from Greg... Hi Nancy, Greg Muttart here. Just looking at your website, and it looks excellent. I was wondering how you are getting your photos developed? Are you mailing them home, or doing them there? Are you worried about losing films in the mail, having them poorly developed, eatten by Rhinos? Little things like that. Just wondering... Take care.
